We supply bee nucs (short for nucleus) consisting of five frames of drawn comb with stored honey, pollen and developing bee brood. A nuc should also contain several (or more) thousand bees as well as the queen. Nucs are usually picked up or delivered by beekeepers. The frames and bees from the nuc are transferred from the nuc box to the destination hive. Our Georgia bee nucs will consist of five frames of bees, brood, honey, pollen and a newly mated queen. Our nucs remain in our Georgia yards for at least one full brood cycle. This helps assure us that the queens are viable, vigorous and have been well accepted.
